‘Bobbili Raja’ (1990) directed by B. Gopal and starring Venkatesh was a box office hit. It played for 175 days in 3 centers and became the first silver jubilee movie in Venkatesh’s career. In this, the on-screen chemistry between Venkatesh and heroine Divya Bharati was good. Even after 32 years of release.. how many people still love that movie! But in the later period, that idea was put aside. Even producer D Suresh Babu has thought that he wanted to do a remake of Bobbili Raja with his son Rana.
