Another rare honor for the classic film ‘Sankarabharanam’

The film ‘Sankarabharanam’ (1980) has a special place in the history of Telugu cinema. ‘Shankarabharanam’ ranks first among all time classic Telugu movies. This classic movie directed by Kalathapasvi K. Vishwanath got another rare honor.
The 53rd ‘International Film Festival of India’ (IFFI) is being celebrated in Goa. ‘Sankarabharanam’ was selected in the ‘Restored Indian Classics’ category at this film festival. ‘National Film Archives of India’ digitizes and preserves the country’s greatest films. The Telugu classic film ‘Sankarabharanam’ is also in that list of great films. This movie will be specially screened at film festivals. Late producer Edida Nageswara Rao’s son Raja was invited to this event.
Produced by Edida Nageswara Rao under the banner of Purnodaya Movie Creations, the film stars Somayazulu, Manju Bhargavi and Chandra Mohan in lead roles. KV Mahadevan has composed the music for this film.
